The Raise of Afganistan Cricket is it a threat to India?

Afghanistan's rise in cricket has indeed been remarkable. Their journey from being a relatively unknown team to becoming a formidable force in international cricket is inspiring. They have shown immense passion and resilience, much like India did in the late 80s and 90s.

Afghanistan has produced some world-class players who have made significant impacts in international cricket. Players like Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi, and Mujeeb Ur Rahman have consistently performed well and are ranked among the top players in the ICC rankings. Their performances have earned them the reputation of being "giant killers," capable of defeating top teams on any given day.

Potential Challenges for India:

  1. Increased Competition: As Afghanistan improves, they become a more challenging opponent, which might put additional pressure on the Indian team.
  2. Strategic Adaptation: Afghanistan's familiarity with Indian conditions could mean that they are better prepared to exploit India's weaknesses.
  3. Talent Drain: As Afghanistan's cricket infrastructure improves, they might attract more coaches, experts, and resources that could otherwise have been beneficial to Indian cricket.

Opportunities for India:

  1. Strengthened Rivalry: Healthy competition can push both teams to perform better and innovate strategically.
  2. Regional Growth: A strong Afghanistan team can contribute to the overall growth of cricket in the region, leading to better opportunities for collaboration and development.
  3. Inspiration and Learning: Observing Afghanistan's rise can offer valuable lessons and inspiration for Indian cricket, both at the grassroots and professional levels.

Afghanistan's journey is a testament to the power of passion and hard work in sports, and it will be interesting to see how their continued growth impacts cricket in the region and globally.

How do you feel about the future of cricket with emerging teams like Afghanistan making their mark?

Finally the Cricket World cup has come back again, or was it .......?

Though i am ecstatic and had been feeling too much proud, being an ardent fan of cricket and India, but this question has been coming and going in my mind that had the Finals been Fixed? Has Sri Lanka given up the match too easily? Well I would like to believe that the matches were clean. I know India dose deserve to win, it would be highly unfair to count only their flaws and not acknowledge their ability and effort they have put in to achieve this feat, but somehow things were not as transparent for me as it should have bee and I am being hunted by this question again and again???
